Feliz Martes!

Hola people and feliz Martes! Christmas is just around the corner and I don't know about you but I am fully ready to be on vacation. I just have three more days of work to get through and then we are off for ten sun-filled days in Uruguay! That's right people, I'm going to South America!!!

Nic and I are two lucky ducks and headed to the southern hemisphere with my in-laws to spend some quality time in the place where they grew up. I can't wait to see friends and family and enjoy summer in Ponta del Este, Uruguay's beautiful beach town. Until then I've got my eye on the prize --- working away, wrapping up Christmas errands and trying to get packed and ready to go for my first trip out of the country in a couple of years... I can't wait!

For all of you who might already be relaxing at home or just busying yourself at work until your break begins here are some holiday links to get you FULLY in the spirit :)

Edible Gifts and Less Fatty Things Too:
I had HUGE visions of doing a long series of edible holiday gifts on the blog buttt... let's just say I didn't get there. LUCKILY those hard working elves over at Pop Sugar beat me to the punch with the 12 Days of Edible Gifts. YUM!

I also had big plans to make cookie in a jar mixes for co-workers and friends but that also didn't happen. In case you want to try it out yourself, here is the recipe I was going to use. Looks great right?

Once you are done fattening up on holiday sweets and homemade gifts check out Fit Sugar's Best Healthy Desserts of 2011 list to ween yourself off of the uber unhealthy sweets onto slightly healthier ones!

Then once you're really finished with the food part of the holiday go on and do yer hair up into one of these DIY hair dos from Cup of Jo blog to get your drinkin' and dancin' on for New Years!

Also, do you send Christmas/Holiday cards? Nic and I aren't quite there yet but I LOVE getting them! How cute are these? One of the many things I'll miss about not being home for Christmas this year is sitting around my mom's coffee table with my siblings and choosing our favorite Christmas cards from the pile. You know, there's always the SUPER beautiful family with the professional photographer card, the adorable new baby cards, the silly dog in the picture card, the one where no one is looking and then of course the card from those hot family friends you've never actually met. Love those people!

Ok that's all I got for now. Adios!

  1. Have a very merry in the land of sunshine and incredible food! Terrific post, as always. xo

  2. Merry Christmas and have a great trip Char!
