Rainy Week Round Up

Hi People
It's been a rainy week in San Francisco and it's supposed to rain throughout the weekend so I'm not too pleased but at least it made me finally break down and buy a pair of these with a 20% off card I got in the mail...

In 4 to 5 glorious days I will no longer have to wear my snowboots to work to avoid spending the day with wet feet. GLORIOUS!

I've been a delinquent blogger of late but here I am again and I've found some fun links from cruising my favorite blogs at breakfast on the good old ipad. Lots more cooking and posts to come next week but in the meantime enjoy these and have a great weekend!!!

Black Bean Chocolate Cake from Feast on the Cheap --- A rich yummy chocolate cake recipe that would please normal people but uses peanut butter and black beans instead of lactose? SIGN ME up!!!!

Healthy Ricotta Pancakes from me :) --- I forgot to take a picture but I made a delicious healthy pancake this morning: Mix 1/4 cup food-processed oats (just grind them up to make them flour like) with 1 egg white, 2 tablespoons part skim ricotta and 2 tablespoons fat free milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk). Mix together well and pour into sprayed frying pan like a pancake and top with sauteed banana slices. YUM!

I heart Baking: I just discovered this blog and while I'm not sure I'm skilled enough to duplicate her creations how beautiful are they??

Recipe Round Up From Wiley Valentine: These all look good!!!

Cute Things
Letter About Love: I was just on Cup of Jo blog and found this amazing letter from John Steinbeck written to his teenage son about love. So beautiful!

Sarah Seven: One of my favorite wedding dress designers just opened a boutique in San Francisco and she has really cute party dresses! They are a bit out of my price range but the wedding styles might be well worth it!

  1. I loved the Steinbeck letter too, recently I've gotten hooked on a blog, Letters of Note, that shares incredible letters:

  2. Love the Steinbeck letter -- wonderful!

  3. Thanks for the shout out, but even more - thanks for sharing Steinbeck's gorgeous letter! Happy weekend, rain or shine. xo
