Getaway to the Coppola Winery in Geyserville

I'd recommend the Bloody Mary and the Blanc de Blanc :)

On Saturday Nic, four friends and I spent a glorious day and celebrated my birthday an hour and 15 minutes north of San Francisco at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery.  This winery is a full on experience with restaurants, beautiful grounds, a pool, bar and bocce courts.  It felt like being at a really nice resort for the day and I loved every minute of it!  We ordered drinks from the comfort of our lounge chairs, swam in the pool, played bocce, indulged in the wine tastings that were included with our cabine rentals and ate lunch at the poolside cafe.  I would definitely recommend hitting this place up for an indulgent day out of the city, a bachelorette or birthday celebration or just a sunny day.

Plan out your visit, read all the details on reserving poolside chairs, prices and how to get there at their website here.  If you do go and eat at the poolside cafe be sure to order the pizza (we loved the Sofia) and drink a glass of the sparkling blanc de blanc.

Here are some pics to capture this spot and inspire your next wine country visit :)

Wine Food Adventure, what else is there?

The pool area was very kid friendly and had 3 lifeguards

In my happy place

Nic in front of the cabines (pronounced cah-beens) with my birthday balloon!

Looked like a pretty cool place for  a wedding or event!

Francis Ford's "Godfather" Academy Awards... pretty cool.

The Coppolas don't mess around.  The security team maybe contacted four people before allowing my friends to bring in this amazing Red Velvet Susie Cake.

Are you ready to plan your trip? Check out their website here!
